Q&A
-
1.
How is it different from the other Fraxel methods?
-
Conventional fractional lasers work by creating microscopic zones of thermal damage in the skin to stimulate regeneration. PicoSure Fraxel uses a picosecond laser and a specialized lens to deliver microscopic stimulation to the skin and promote collagen regeneration, helping reduce the burden of thermal damage.

2.
Can I return to my daily activities immediately after treatment?
-
Redness usually appears after the treatment, but with light makeup such as BB cream or sunscreen, you can comfortably resume daily activities by the next day. Scabbing rarely occurs, and if a numbing cream is applied beforehand, the pain is generally less than with traditional Fraxel treatments.
-
3.
How many PicoFraxel sessions are needed to see results?
-
Results vary depending on skin condition, pore size, and the severity of scars. Generally, gradual improvement can be expected through multiple treatments. The exact number of treatments should be determined after consultation with a medical professional.
Precautions
-
▪ Avoid washing your face and applying makeup on the day of the procedure.
▪ Makeup can be applied starting the next day, but it’s best to wait at least 2–3 days for optimal healing.

▪ To minimize post-treatment inflammation, please avoid alcohol, smoking, saunas, and strenuous exercise for at least one week
▪ After the procedure, warmth, pinpoint bleeding, and redness may last for about 1 to 2 weeks
▪ Rarely, dermatitis or folliculitis may occur after the procedure, but these usually improve within a few days
